Who Is Choosing for You? A Powerful Message from Archangel Michael About Fear, Anxiety, and Self-Trust

Are You Making the Decision — Or Is Fear Making It for You?

This week's message from Archangel Michael brought forward a question that stopped me in my tracks:

Who — or what — are you allowing to choose for you?

At first glance, it seems like an easy question.

Of course we're making our own choices... right?

Maybe.

But when we slow down and really look, many of us discover that fear, anxiety, old wounds, and past experiences are often sitting quietly in the driver's seat.

Fear chooses.

The "what ifs" choose.

Other people's opinions choose.

Past disappointments choose.

And before we know it, we're reacting to life instead of consciously living it.

My Personal Wake-Up Call

This message landed deeply for me as a mother.

My 12-year-old daughter lives with Type 1 Diabetes.

And if I'm being completely transparent, there are days when I allow that diagnosis to choose for me.

The fear chooses.

The worry chooses.

The endless mental calculations choose.

The anxiety around blood sugar readings, alarms, and future possibilities can become so loud that it starts influencing my decisions without me even realizing it.

When I recognized that, it brought tears to my eyes.

Because I know I'm not alone.

We all have something.

A relationship.

A health concern.

A financial stressor.

A career change.

A dream we're afraid to pursue.

Something that quietly influences our choices from behind the scenes.

The Difference Between Awareness and Judgment

The beautiful part of Michael's message wasn't about criticizing ourselves.

It was about becoming aware.

Awareness creates freedom.

When we notice what's choosing for us, we create space to choose differently.

Not perfectly.

Not overnight.

But intentionally.

The goal isn't to eliminate fear.

The goal is to recognize when fear has taken over the decision-making process.

Signs Fear Might Be Choosing for You

Ask yourself:

  • Am I avoiding something because it feels uncomfortable?

  • Am I making decisions based on worst-case scenarios?

  • Am I constantly seeking reassurance from others?

  • Am I allowing past experiences to dictate current choices?

  • Am I living more in "what if" than "what is"?

If so, fear may be holding the pen.

How to Begin Choosing for Yourself Again

1. Pause Before Reacting

When you notice yourself spiraling into worry, pause.

Take a breath.

Ask yourself:

"Is this fear talking, or is this truth?"

2. Get Curious

Instead of judging yourself, become an observer.

Notice what thoughts are driving the decision.

Notice what emotions are present.

Notice what story you're telling yourself.

3. Reconnect with Your Intuition

Fear tends to feel urgent.

Intuition tends to feel steady.

Fear says, "Act now!"

Intuition says, "Let's look at this clearly."

Learning the difference changes everything.

4. Choose One Small Step

You don't need to overhaul your life.

You simply need one conscious choice.

One moment of trusting yourself.

One decision that aligns with who you are instead of what you're afraid of.

The Gift Hidden Inside the Question

The question isn't meant to shame you.

It's meant to empower you.

Because once you see what's been choosing for you, you regain your ability to choose for yourself.

That is where freedom begins.

That is where self-trust grows.

That is where healing happens.

Final Thoughts

If you're in a season where fear feels loud, please know this:

You are not alone.

You are not failing.

You are not behind.

You are simply human.

And according to Archangel Michael, awareness is the first step toward reclaiming your power.

So today, ask yourself:

What is choosing for me right now?

The answer may change everything.

With love,

Dawn ✨
